End of Life Considerations

The ELNEC course provided knowledge on how to provide better care in the final days of a person’s life. End of life care requires physical, psychological, social and spiritual attention for the patient and their families. The care provided by the nurse and healthcare team can be especially meaningful to patients and families. Using the information shared in the ELNEC modules on end of life and the videos on end of life needs for the LGBTQ patient, please share your reflections on whether there are unique considerations the nurse should incorporate into the care of a LGBT patient. Each student is to post an initial response to this question. Use references to evidence-based practice from text, peer reviewed professional journals, valid website sources to support your statements. Write content and properly cite references using APA 7th edition format.
